Happy February Denver!

February often feels like a transitional month. January is finally over (it always seems longer than any other month) and winter is still present but no longer novel (However the snowiest month of Colorado is still yet to come!). It’s a good time to check in with your body and make small adjustments before they turn into ongoing discomfort.

This month includes President’s Day, which for many people means a long weekend and this year, probably protests. Scheduling a massage around a long weekend can make the time off feel more restorative rather than draining. And this year Mardi Gras just happens to land the day after Presidents Day and even though it won’t make the weekend longer (unless you live in New Orleans), it’ll feel like it!

In Colorado, cold weather continues to influence how the body feels this time of year. Many people notice increased hip, back, or shoulder tension in February compared to warmer months. Regular massage can help maintain mobility and comfort until spring activity levels naturally increase again.

February is also a practical moment to reassess self-care habits. Goals set at the start of the year are either becoming routine or quietly falling away. Rather than thinking in terms of major changes, it can be more effective to focus on consistency.
