Summer Has Officially Arrived

June has arrived! And with it comes longer days, warmer temperatures (and the occasional hail storm), and the official start of summer. This month is home to the Summer Solstice, which occurs on June 20 and marks the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere. With extra daylight comes more time for hiking, biking, gardening, weekend road trips, and enjoying everything Colorado has to offer outdoors.

While summer activities are great for both physical and mental well-being, they can also place additional demands on the body which can lead to muscle tension, soreness, and fatigue. Even enjoyable activities can leave you feeling stiff and uncomfortable if your body doesn’t have adequate time to recover.

Massage can play an important role in your summer wellness routine. Whether you’re dealing with tight shoulders after a day on the golf course, sore legs from a mountain hike, or general muscle fatigue from increased activity, massage helps promote circulation, reduce tension, and support recovery. Regular massage can also improve flexibility and help you stay active throughout the season.

As temperatures rise, don’t forget the importance of hydration. Proper hydration supports muscle function, recovery, and overall health. Drinking plenty of water before and after outdoor activities can help minimize fatigue and keep your body performing at its best.

This June, take advantage of the longer days, spend time outdoors, and make recovery part of your routine. Your body works hard for you every day. Give it the care it deserves so you can enjoy everything summer has to offer.
